Hello and welcome to Connect, a new education and training Portal.
This portal has been created to provide self advocates, families, frontline workers, service providers, professionals, policy makers and funders in community living with current, relevant and useful information.
The purpose of our website is to assist in enhancing the quality of life for those who rely on supports and services.
The information, resources and training modules have been, and will continue to be, developed by individuals with experience, knowledge and skills in the community living sector. They include self-advocates, family members, frontline staff, managers, leaders and teachers.
Our portal is membership based, but also provides free access to self-advocates families and members of the public. We also provide low-cost membership for other people who work in the community living sector.
Our portal is easy to navigate. Content will be added to and updated regularly. We encourage you to check it out.
We have the support and guidance from leaders in the community living sector. Their primary role is to help ensure that the information and material we provide continues to help us enhance quality of life for people with disabilities in community living.
